Take Time to Move

Did you know that sitting may be killing you? Researchers have linked sitting for prolonged periods with a number of health problems as well as premature death from cardiovascular disease. As humans – we are meant to move.

Since 1983, May has been observed as National Physical Fitness and Sports Month. With the advent of nicer weather, many of us now turn our thoughts to activities outside. But organized sports are not the only way to move and increase our physical health. Further, physicians recommend that we ease our way into our summer activities.

Organized sports and family activities are a great way to get active. And, since more and more of us spend more time sitting at a desk at school or work, it’s also important to find ways to move throughout the day. Looking for a few ways to add movement to your life?

Confidential Family Planning services are available at our Auburn, Waterloo, and North Rose locations. Services include pelvic exams, breast exams, pap smears, HIV and sexually transmitted disease testing. Birth control, emergency contraception, and pharmacy services are available on site. Parental consent is not required for minors. HPV vaccine is available, please call for information.
